Using thermal ribbons rather than ink, both the Everest III and PrismPlus! printers produce discs that are totally dry; there is no ‘wet’ process involved. This eliminates the common ‘spoiling’ problem with inkjet printers caused by stacking during production. And there is no risk of smudging, bleeding or washing off.

The Everest III thermal re-transfer printer combines the highest text and graphics print quality with the industry’s most rugged build. With a resolution of 170 lines-per-inch it produces off-set quality, photo-realistic discs faster than any other printer.

Discs printed on the Everest III are brightly coloured, glossy, scratch-resistant and the images are absolutely ‘permanent’. Not only does this make them perfect for commercial print applications but it also makes them the ideal choice for long term archival, medical and forensic applications.

The PrismPlus! thermal printer can print a disc in mono in just 7 seconds. Hence, it is perfect for high throughput applications that do not require full colour artwork (or use PerfectPrint). It is widely used by service bureau for applications such as billing CDs with customer account details; and by software manufacturers for simple product titles/versions, etc. Printing in mono for such applications is also incredibly cheap, with a typical unit cost of less than 1p.

PerfectPrint enables a pre-screenprinted disc to be rotated so that custom or variable text can be aligned and over-printed. This is a perfect compromise for organisations requiring both speed and full colour and is extremely cost effective in high volume applications.
